Held your Oct. 24th poem in my mind's eye for a long moment, and realized that a beautiful work of art stirs up images on the reader / viewer, bringing to mind the scenes, the hues and fragrances of moments lodged in the memory -- my memory of first encountering the fragrance of a water lily was when I was maybe 6 0r 7 years old. The words and phrases you use are very evocative. The ocean (filled) with honey -- brings to mind wheat fields of Kansas before harvest time, and a farmer who showed me around.
